The geography curriculum will prepare students for business and academics while encouraging lifelong learning skills. Geographic skills are essential to understanding physical patterns, human patterns, and Earth's processes. These skills are essential for anyone critically thinking about the global community.
All Geography majors must successfully complete the requirements for one (or more) of any of the minors offered by the university (18-24 hours*) or for a second major. Since geography is a discipline that has subfields in virtually every other discipline, this requirement is intended to help prepare our majors to have additional knowledge in a secondary body of knowledge.
