About the Program

For students interested in modern language undergraduate programs near Kansas City, this degree plan helps students acquire important communication tools that are increasingly vital in local, national and global communities by emphasizing oral and written communication, cultural fluency and study-abroad opportunities. Teacher Certification

Students seeking Teacher Certification in Spanish must fulfill the requirements of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, in addition to those for the Spanish major. Education coursework may be completed through the School of Education. Please consult with an Education advisor if you wish to pursue certification.
