Graduate Programs

Building on its firm liberal arts and sciences foundation, Park University offers several International Center for Music degrees near Kansas City, including violin, viola, cello and piano performance degrees in Parkville, Mo. The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences houses the acclaimed International Center for Music, where qualified students can earn a graduate degree in performance, a graduate certificate in applied music or a graduate artist diploma.

Master of Music in Performance

Two-Year Program

The Master of Music degree program is an advanced course of study for musicians who hold a bachelor’s degree and are seeking careers as professional musicians.


Graduate Certificate in Music Performance

Two-Year Program

Our music performance graduate certificate programs are designed for students who want to pursue a non-degree course of study concentrating almost exclusively on performance. The Graduate Certificate is not a degree and does not serve as qualification for entry into doctoral degree programs.


Graduate Artist Diploma in Music Performance

Two-Year Program

The Graduate Artist Diploma is the highest-level designation offered at ICM and is designed for students with demonstrated artistic excellence. The Graduate Artist Diploma in music performance is open to only a few highly gifted artists who have demonstrated exemplary artistic achievement in their academic/professional career. This course of study is to prepare the individual for a concert stage career, or a major appointment in the professional or academic arena. Diploma students play an active role in the musical life of ICM, participating in institutional outreach and demonstrating their commitment to musical artistry.
