Interdisciplinary Studies Degree

Make connections across fields of study and connect what you learn to your academic, professional, and civic life.

The Interdisciplinary Studies degree program is a way for you to custom-design your own degree by combining two different disciplines from two distinct schools or departments. It is the combination of two minor degrees of study; one that is listed in the catalog and another one either listed in the catalog or a Personal Body of Knowledge constructed by you out of a set of courses.

Program Highlights

Design your own degree

As an Interdisciplinary Studies major, you’ll engage in integrative and interdisciplinary thinking. You’ll consider problems from several different perspectives, examining each subject in its own context as well as its relationship to the issues, questions, and positions of the other discipline(s) you study.

Interdisciplinary degree program students take Park University’s Liberal Education core to meet general education requirements while specializing in their minor courses of study. In your final year of your Interdisciplinary Studies degree program, you’ll complete an advanced interdisciplinary research project or other senior project in your area of interest and/or specialization.
