Leticia Cortez

I hope you have enjoyed our virtual tour so far!

My name is Leticia Cortez, I am one of the Regional Admission Coordinators here to assist you through the admissions process and whatever else you may need help with. Park University is a wonderful place to live and learn. One the unique assets of Park University is that it’s a small private university, but it also offers great diversity and culture. This is one of the reasons I love it here!  I am originally from El Salvador and I can appreciate the diversity Park has to offer. I am also an alum, I graduated with a Bachelors of Art in Communications, which I truly enjoyed studying!!! I wish you the best in your decision making about your college career!

Thank you for taking the time to get to know the admissions team.

Enjoy the rest of the virtual tour!

Aigul Marler

My name is Aigul Marler. I was born and raised in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is a country in west central Asia. My country was a part of the Soviet Union for almost 70 years and it gained its independence in 1991.

I earned my BA in Elementary Education and minor in music from my country. I taught children in grades 1 through 4 for three years before I decided to come to America.  Later, I attended State Fair Community College in Jefferson City, Missouri.

I joined Park University as an Admissions Specialist in October of 2003. I perform a variety of duties, some of which include the receipt of official documents. I ensure that they are scanned into our online document system for others to review. I like my job and the people I work with. Working at Park University is fun because I’ve met many people and have made many friends from a variety of countries.

It’s always hard to find the time to do everything that I enjoy but I do try to fit in the time for my favorite hobbies such as cooking, reading, traveling and shopping. I also love camping and especially in the fall because the weather is so beautiful and the air is so fresh.

My love for nature works well with my life here on campus. We are very fortunate to be surrounded by much natural beauty on campus as well as in the surrounding Parkville area. We have many trees, sloping hills and the beauty of the Missouri River flowing by. I am sure that after visiting our wonderful campus, you will decide to attend our university because there will be no better place to study!

Sara Nicholson

My name is Sara Nicholson, and I am an Admissions Specialist at Park University.  I have worked at Park University for two years, spending one of the two, in the Financial Aid Department.  My role in the Admissions Department is to process applications, input test scores for admission, generate all student correspondence and answer student phone calls.  I truly enjoy the variety my job offers!

I am originally from Racine, Wisconsin.  My husband and I moved to the Kansas City area in 1993 and in 2000 I enrolled in classes at beautiful Park College.  We have two busy teenagers at home and our oldest daughter is also a Park University student and lives in the new dormitory.  It’s absolutely beautiful!

In my spare time I enjoy attending sporting events, traveling, shopping, reading, playing games and watching movies.

Thank you for visiting our website, and I hope to see you on campus in the future!
