HOT-COLD PIRATES
BLASTED BY #16 LINDENWOOD
ST. CHARLES, MO--Just one game after
surprising nationally ranked Columbia College, Park University (5-5-1)
suffered its worst loss of the season Wednesday, falling to the
Lindenwood University Lions (9-2-1), 6-1 in St. Charles, Mo.
Lindenwood's Zach Brennan scored four goals; Park's Zubi Ufoh scored the
lone goal for the Pirates. With a 2-2-0 record in NAIA Region V,
Park travels to Fulton, Mo., Saturday for a 3:00 p.m. match with William
Woods University.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
FINISHES FIFTH IN CULVER-STOCKTON TOURNAMENT
CANTON, MO--The Park
University women's volleyball team began to turn things around in the
final two matches of the Culver-Stockton Tournament over the weekend.
After losing the first two matches in straight sets, Park, then 2-10,
bounced back, defeating Williams Baptist College, 3-2, and Mount Mercy
College, 3-1. The team finished fifth in the eight-team
tournament. According to head coach Peggy Tuter, freshman middle
blocker Jennifer Higgins suffered an ankle injury in the tournament.
She is the team-leader in serve percentage, connecting on .985 of her
130 serves this season. Higgins is the third Park player to be sidelined
from an ankle injury this season. In their next home match, Park
Haskell Indian Nations University on Tuesday, October 9, at 7:00 p.m.
The Campus Activities Board (CAB) has a special event planned for
Tuesday's match!
