REPRINTED WITH PERMISSION FROM EMAIL MESSAGE

Just looked at the website and enjoyed your article. I am a 1971 Park graduate who now lives in Athens, GA, and I had the opportunity in 1974/1975 to get to know Herb White through playing softball with him.
He indeed was a leaper and was a pretty good all around athlete. In fact, he was a rookie teammate of Pete Maravich at that time. I am not sure what he is doing now, but he did announce University of Georgia
b-ball games for several years, but not any longer.

When I attended Park, we had some very poor teams and it gives me pleasure to see the Park teams doing well and the facilities are excellent. Saw them this past alumni weekend.

I spent many hours in the old gym during lunch playing pick up games in basketball. Our soccer teams were very competitive.
