PIRATES WELCOME UNION COLLEGE TO THE HARDWOOD TONIGHT
PARKVILLE, MO--The Park University men's basketball team (2-3) hosts the Union College Warriors (2-1) from Lincoln, Neb., tonight in the Breckon Sports Center at 7:00 p.m.  Park senior Monte Jones is averaging 17.6 ppg this season, but Union, with returning  6-8 junior forward Matt Gal, has won two-straight.

PIRATES SUFFER REBOUNDING WOES IN LOSS AT WILLIAM JEWELL, 77-69
LIBERTY, MO--Park University (2-3) managed just nineteen total rebounds in Liberty, Mo., Tuesday night, as the Pirates lost to the William Jewell College Cardinals (3-2), 77-69.  Monte Jones dumped in 23 points; Kelly Kindall added 15 points.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL RESULTS
LADY COUGARS TOP PIRATES 85-78 IN COLUMBIA
COLUMBIA, MO--Columbia College's first-year women's basketball program outlasted Park University Tuesday night, 85-75.  Columbia held a 45-28 advantage at halftime. 
Leaders-Scoring: PARK (78), Silya Siniawski 23, Muneerah Williams 19, Dorothy Haughton 13; CC (95), Missy Wilt 16, Avril Jandles 15, 3 w/ 13.  Rebounding:  PARK (51) WIlliams 13, Haughton 87, 2 w/ 6; CC (49) Jandles 14, Lisa Kowalewski 7, 2 w/ 4. Assists: PARK (14) Glenda Grant 7, Haughton 3, Le'Nae Gilmore 2; CC (13) B.J. Homer 3, 4 w/ 2.

WOMEN'S SOCCER RESULTS
SECOND HALF SPOILS NATIONAL TOURNAMENT BID FOR WOMEN'S SOCCER
ST. CHARLES, MO--First-year head coach Scott Bowen and the Park University women's soccer team played even with Lindenwood for 45 minutes, enjoying a 1-1 tie at halftime in the Region V Championship match Friday night in St. Charles, Mo. In the second half, Lindenwood poured in three goals, ousting Park from the tournament.  Park finished with a record of 15-3-0.
Summary: LU 1-0 (10:00) Inge Heremans; PARK 1-1 (40:00) Pam Bedzrah; LU 2-1 (55:00) Tracie Werton; LU 3-1 (62:00) Heremans; LU 4-1 (80:00) Laura Wiedemeir.  Keepers:  PARK, Jenni Visala (90:00) 4 ga, 4 saves; LU, Tish Martin (90:00) 2 saves, 1 ga. MEN'S SOCCER RESULTS
MEN'S SOCCER BOWS OUT OF REGION V TOURNAMENT AFTER 2-0 LOSS TO LINDENWOOD
ST. CHARLES, MO--Park University (11-7-2) and Lindenwood University (17-2-0) were locked in a scoreless tie until LU's Gordon Inglis put the Lions up 1-0 in the 75th minute.  Branko Savic knocked in a second goal for Lindenwood  four minutes later as Park ended its season.

Summary: LU 1-0 (75:00) Gordon Inglis; LU 2-0 (79:00) Branko Savic. Keepers: PARK, Scott Woods (90:00), 11 saves, 2 ga; LU, Juan Inchauste (90:00) 1 so, 5 saves.  Shots:  PARK 6, LU 11.  Corner kicks:  PARK 4, LU 9.
