SATURDAY AFTERNOON MATCH UP FEATURES PIRATES, PERU STATE
PARKVILLE, MO--The Park University men's basketball team (10-6) returns to the hardwood Saturday afternoon against the Peru State College Bobcats (6-8).  Both teams last played on December 15.  In their lowest scoring game this season the Pirates held off interim coach Jerre Cole and the Bobcats, 56-53, in Peru, Neb., back on November 17.  Saturday's game tips off at 3:00 p.m. in the Breckon Sports Center in Parkville, Mo.

HOT COUGARS VISIT PARK TUESDAY IN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
PARKVILLE, MO--While Park University (5-8) is off to one of its best starts in recent years, the Columbia College Cougars, with a record of 12-2, are off to their best start ever.  Of course, Columbia is a first-year program, which also makes this their only start ever.  In any case, Columbia's two losses have come against NCAA Division II programs Alaska-Fairbanks and Mo. Western.  After those two losses, just three other teams (out of twelve) have played the Cougars within ten points.  Park is one of them.  On November 13, the Pirates challenged the Cougars mightily, despite leaving Columbia, Mo., with a 85-78 loss.
On Tuesday night, January 8, the Columbia College Cougars women's basketball team makes its first-ever trip to Park University.  Game time is 7:00 p.m.
