Women's Basketball Results
PARK STIFLED BY COLUMBIA COLLEGE TRAP; PIRATES
FALL, 76-57
PARKVILLE, MO-Park University (5-9) served up 37 turnovers into the
hands of the Columbia College Lady Cougars (15-2) Tuesday night in
Parkville. The Lady Cougars led by 21 points at halftime and extended
the lead to 28 points just minutes into the second half. Park connected
on just one-third of its shots from the floor; Columbia managed to pop
in 40 percent of their field goals in addition to 26-of-39 free throws.
Le'Nae Gilmore, a junior forward from Blue
Springs, Mo., led Park with 14 points and five rebounds. Tilly Payne
paced the first-year Lady Cougars with 14 points and eight rebounds. The
Cougars' Avril Jandles added ten points and 11 rebounds. [BOX

Men's Basketball Results
FIVE PIRATES SCORE
IN DOUBLE-FIGURES AS PARK TOPS PERU STATE, 75-66
PARKVILLE, MO--Senior Brandon
Cottrell scored 11 points to compliment his 10 rebounds Saturday
afternoon as Park University improved to 11-6 with a home win against
the Peru State College Bobcats (6-9). Tony DeShay led Park in
scoring with 13 points. Marshall Collins added 12 points.
Guards Kelly Kindall and Marvin Cash, who each dished out five assists,
had 10 and 11 points, respectively. For Peru State, Joey Maggett
had 17 points and seven rebounds. Park returns to the court on
January 19 when they travel to Sioux City, Iowa, to face Briar Cliff
