FACULTY/STAFF DAY TABBED FOR SATURDAY FEBRUARY 16 BASKETBALL CONTESTS
PARKVILLE, MO--Park University Faculty & Staff Appreciation Day has been set for Saturday, February 16 when Park University faces Briar Cliff in men's and women's basketball.  Free T-shirts will be given to the first ten faculty or staff members who come to the afternoon games.  The men's game on Saturday, February 16, is also Senior Day/Family Day.  Before the game, Park University will recognize the five senior members of the men's basketball team playing in the final home contest of the season.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL RESULTS
PARK SECURES THIRD IN-A-ROW
PERU, NEB--
Senior forward Muneerah Williams notched a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds as the Pirates (9-12) won their third straight, defeating the Peru State College Bobcats, 65-51.  Park led 28-23 at halftime.  Tenysha Brown had 14 points and five rebounds for Park.  Le'Nae Gilmore, a junior from Blue Springs, Mo., scored 13 points.

MEN'S BASKETBALL RESULTS
PIRATES DROP ROAD GAME TO NEWMAN
WICHITA, KAN--The Pirates (13-9) trailed by just three points at halftime, 39-36, but the Newman University Jets extended the lead to eleven points by the final buzzer as Park dropped Tuesday's road contest, 86-75.  Kelly Kindall had 22 points for Park University.  Spencer Samu added 10 points and eight rebounds.
     Reggie Riley paced Newman with 20 points and seven rebounds.

MEN'S BASKETBALL RESULTS
PIRATES UPSET #12 COLUMBIA COLLEGE, 63-47
PARKVILLE, MO--The guard combination of Kelly Kindall and Monte Jones scored early and often as Park improved to 13-8 at the expense of the #12 Columbia College Cougars (22-4), Saturday night in Parkville.  Park won 63-47. Kindall led all players with 16 points and seven assists; Jones added 15 points.
   Miquel Coleman, Columbia's only player in double-figures, put in 11 points.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL RESULTS
PARK TAKES SECOND STRAIGHT, DOWNING CENTRAL METHODIST, 64-45
PARKVILLE, MO--Park University (8-12) won their second consecutive game, defeating the Central Methodist College Lady Eagles (4-22), 64-45.  Park held Central Methodist to just 22-percent field goal shooting in the game.
   Le'Nae Gilmore was Park's leading scorer with 13 points. Muneerah Williams added 11 points for the Pirates.  [BOX SCORE]
