WOMEN'S BASKETBALL RESULTS
HANNIBAL-LAGRANGE
SPOILS PARK'S SENIOR DAY, 63-58
PARKVILLE, MO--Park University's lone
senior, Muneerah Williams, scored the front end of two free throws with
4 minutes, 44 seconds remaining in Saturday's game to put the Pirates
ahead by one point, 56-55. In the end, Hannibal-LaGrange (19-13)
prevailed over Park (13-16), 63-58.
Williams, a four-year starter for the
Pirates, bucketed 18 points what was the final home game of her career.
Williams and her parents, along with senior and team trainer Erin Holt
were honored before the game. Williams scored 1300+ points and
grabbed 900+ rebounds in her four seasons in the women's basketball
program at Park.
Hannibal's Carrie Chinn led all players with 24
points; she was 10-for-10 from the free throw line.
Hannibal-LaGrange outscored Park 21-5 from the line.
Monday, Park University men's and women's
basketball teams will formalize their postseason schedules when the NAIA
Men's and Women's Independent Division I tournaments are announced.
