PARK STANDS UP TO CENTRAL METHODIST; DROPS SINGLE GAME TO MISSOURI VALLEY

MARSHALL, MO--Park University doubled six times and got a full seven innings with ten strikeouts from junior pitcher Jarrod Tyson in an 8-2 win against Central Methodist College on Sunday.

PARK RETURNS TO WINNING PATH AGAINST NEWMAN

PARKVILLE, MO--Freshman pitcher Mike Murphy quieted Newman University bats in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, allowing just one run on one hit.  Alan Singletary and Andy Morgan each had homeruns for the Pirates in their 11-1 win over Newman.

Men's Volleyball Results
PIRATES APPROACH .500 WITH STRAIGHT-SET WIN OVER TRI-STATE
ANGOLA, IND--In their most lopsided win of the year, Park University (10-11) won their fifth match out of six, defeating Tri-State University, 3-0 (30-19, 30-17, 30-17).  In the final match of their trip, Park will face Kendall College Saturday night at 8:00 p.m.

BELLEVUE, NEB--Park held a 6-5 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth inning in the first game of Friday's doubleheader with the Bellevue University Bruins.  Bellevue got seven runs in the bottom of the sixth and continued their offensive assault in the second game of the doubleheader when they scored 13 runs to Park's three.
