YORK AND SAINT MARY FOREGO REMAINING GAMES WITH PARK; FINAL CONTESTS CANCELLED
PARKVILLE, MO--Because York College and St. Mary College are required to reschedule rain make-ups in their respective conferences, both institutions cancelled this weekend's doubleheaders with Park University.  As a result, head coach Dan Backhaus has also cancelled the free youth baseball clinic that was scheduled as a prelude to Saturday's match with York.  The final Region V ranking on Monday, April 29 will determine Park's chances at a gaining a spot in the post-season playoffs.

RAVENS, PIRATES SPLIT IN REGION V MATCHUP

ATCHISON, KAN--Park University (21-12-1) lost one and won one, each by a one-run margin Wednesday afternoon at Benedictine College. The games marked Park's final regular season Region V contests; Park is 5-2-1 in regional play this year.

PARK PLAYOFF HOPES QUIETED BY PERU STATE

PARKVILLE, MO--Peru State College's doubleheader sweep of the Pirates Wednesday afternoon dimmed hopes during the final week of the regular season of advancing to the NAIA Region V tournament.  While a slim chance remains for a tournament bid, Peru State's strong outing disrupted the six-win week Park needed. The Pirates have just four games remaining this regular season.

PIRATE BASEBALL CANCELS ROAD DOUBLEHEADERS DUE TO RAIN
PARKVILLE, MO--Rainy weather across the Midwest has prompted the cancellation of two Park University baseball doubleheaders.  Park was set to play Saturday against College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Mo., and Sunday against McKendree College in Lebanon, Ill.  Both doubleheaders have been cancelled and will not be rescheduled this season.

PARK LOSES TO WILLIAM WOODS IN POOL PLAY, BOWS OUT OF TOURNEY AGAINST MO. BAPTIST
ST. CHARLES, MO--Park's University's quest for a national championship in men's volleyball ended prematurely Friday.  In the first match of the day, Park lost to the William Woods University Owls, 3-2 (30-28, 31-29, 26-30, 24-30, 15-11).  In the second match of pool play, Park (13-14) was defeated by Missouri Baptist College, 3-2 (30-26, 23-30, 20-30, 33-31, 15-13).
