LAWRENCE, KAN.--Park University (2-10, 0-2) won the first game of Wednesday evening's MCAC matchup against Haskell Indian Nations University (10-4), before giving way to the much improved Fighting Indians, 3-1 (26-30, 20-17, 30-16, 30-20).  Park is near the middle of a nineteen-game road playing streak that consumes the bulk of September.  The Pirates haven't played a home match since September 3; their next home match is at 6:00 p.m. on October 1 against Central Christian College from McPherson, Kan.  Head coach Peggy Tuter and the Park University program are 4-2 all-time against Haskell University through three seasons of head-to-head competition.  Sophomore Jessica Silliman, sidelined by an ankle sprain since September 7, is expected to return to the lineup this weekend as the Pirates travel to Omaha, Neb., for games against Bellevue University and #15 College of St. Mary.
