Men's Basketball Results
PARK USES THREE OTS TO SEAL FIRST ROAD WIN
POINT LOOKOUT, MO--Park University (7-14) needed three overtimes to seal their
first road win of the season--a 91-88 victory against the College of the Ozarks
Bobcats (7-12) in Point Lookout, Mo., Tuesday night. Park battled back
from an eleven-point halftime deficit to tie the game at 79-79 at the end of
regulation. Chuck Reed (32 points) and Ryan Meissner (23 points) carried
the bulk of the scoring load for Park, while Ozarks kept it close with free
throws, outscoring Park 32-7 at the line.
Heath Sitton scored 23 points for the Bobcats; Brandon
Argo added 20 points. Park returns to action on Thursday evening at Avila
College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. |

Men's Volleyball Results
PARK OPENS HOME SEASON WITH 3-0 WIN AGAINST PERU STATE
PARKVILLE, MO--Park University (5-0, 1-0), opened the 2004 home season with a
three-game win against the Peru State College Bobcats (0-2, 0-2). Game
scores favored Park, 30-21, 30-16, and 30-27. Senior setter Gustavo Rocha had 28
set-assists in the match. Cristian Maciel hit .524 with a team-high 11
kills. Sophomore middle hitter Marco Aurelio had 8 digs and 11 blocks
(four solo, seven assisted). The Pirates are currently ranked 5th nationally;
they travel to St. Charles, Mo. on Friday to take on the #3 Lindenwood
University Lions at 7:00 p.m.

Men's Volleyball Results
PIRATES RATTLE OFF FOUR WINS IN
LINDENWOOD TOURNAMENT
PARKVILLE, MO--Park University (4-0) accumulated four, three-game wins this
weekend at the Lindenwood University. On Friday, the Pirates defeated
Kendall College (1-1) and Calumet St. Joseph (2-2) in straight games. Park
overmatched a pair of winless teams on Saturday, winning against Trinity
Christian College (0-6) and Moody Bible Institute (0-4) in straight games.
Senior setter Gustavo Rocha delivered 172 set-assists in the four matches.
Marcello de Ugarte, Walker Swan, Cristian Maciel and Kelvin Bush all hit better
than .500 in one or more match. The Pirates host Peru State College in the
home opener on Tuesday, January 27, at 7:00 p.m.

Women's Basketball Results 
TEN PLAYERS SCORE AS PIRATES REACH 15 WINS
ST. LOUIS, MO--Park University (15-3) tied the school record for most wins in a
season with Thursday's 77-44 win over Harris-Stowe State College. Since
women's basketball started intercollegiate competition, Park has had two other
15-win seasons: 1984-85 and 1988-89.
Ten players scored for the Pirates, who were led by
senior forward Tenysha Brown with 17 points and guard Crystal Tutschulte with 15
points, including 5-of-7 from three-point territory. Park travels to York
College (Neb.) on Tuesday, January 27. |

Men's Basketball Results 
COLD SHOOTING BRINGS PARK TO 0-7 ON THE ROAD
KANSAS CITY, MO--Park University (6-14) dropped its seventh road contest of the
season Thursday evening, falling 68-55 to the Rockhurst University Hawks (8-10).
The Pirates shot 18-of-49 (36.7%) for the game. Chuck Reed and Derek
Stanley each scored 12 points to lead the team. |
