Baseball Results

SOPHOMORE AARON COURTER HITS SAFELY SIX TIMES IN DOUBLEHEADER SPLIT WITH PERU STATE Aaron Courter
PARKVILLE, MO--Aaron Courter, a sophomore infielder for Park University, went 6-for-8 (.750) with two runs and three RBI in the Pirates' split with Peru State College on Tuesday at Comfort Field.  Andy Morgan, Dusty Hylton and Robby Reed each contributed two hits in the first game, a 12-4 decision favoring the Bobcats.  In the second game, Park posted 10 runs to back pitching leader Adam Clay who improved to 6-3 this season with Tuesday's complete game outing. Park (17-18, 6-7) won the game, 10-2.  Morgan went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI in the second game.  Hank Edwards and R.J. Nab each had two hits. Park hosts Central Christian College (Kan.) for a four-game series on Friday and Saturday.

LAMONI, IOWA--Park University track and field student-athletes secured 12 first place finishes at the Graceland University Yellojacket Invitational on Saturday.  Graceland hosted York College and Fort Scott in addition to Park; the teams competed in 45-degree temperatures and 25 mph winds. | MORE |

PIRATES HOLD EVEN AT 3-3 IN CONFERENCE FOLLOWING SPLIT WITH PERU STATE Park UniversityPeru State College (Neb.)
PERU, NEB.--Park University (10-12, 3-3) held quiet bats in Saturday's opener, a 1-0 shutout loss against the Peru State College Bobcats.  In the second game, Park claimed a 8-3 win.  Park stayed even at 3-3 in the MCAC Conference; Sherry Faulconer (6-7) earned the first pitching victory; Holly Gentry picked up the win in the second game.

PIRATES PICK UP TWO WINS AGAINST YORK IN MCAC PLAYPark University York College (Neb.)
YORK, NEB.--Park moved to 9-11 overall and 2-2 in the MCAC Conference with a pair of wins against the York College Panthers in softball action Friday afternoon.  Senior Sherry Faulconer (6-6) earned both of the pitching wins for the Pirates
