PIRATES DEFEAT HASKELL; PREPARE FOR ROAD MATCHES
PARKVILLE, MO--Park University improved to 3-5 overall, 2-0 in the Midlands
Collegiate Athletic Conference Wednesday night, with a 3-0 win over Haskell
 Indian
Nations University (2-9, 0-1) from Lawrence, Kan. It was the seventh
meeting between the programs since 2000; head coach Peggy Tuter's Pirates lead
the series against coach Judith Gipp's Fighting Indians, 5-2. On
Wednesday, Park maintained a hearty margin of victory, winning the games, 30-12,
30-23, and 30-21.
Park now turns to an eight-game road sequence, which
will keep the Pirates away from the home crowd for three weeks. The
upcoming schedule consists of the Iowa Wesleyan Tournament on September 26-27 in
Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and three MCAC opponents, including College of St. Mary
(Neb.), the third-ranked team in the nation as of the September 16th poll.
