Research Mentoring Program

The Research Mentoring Program provides informal mentoring to faculty interested in pursuing independent scholarly activities. The goal of the program is to provide faculty with an informal sounding board from which they may develop, implement and disseminate their scholarly projects.  Through informal, non-structured interactions, faculty scholarship mentors will:

  • Help define and clarify project ideas
  • Provide guidance on university funding sources
  • Facilitate navigation of the Institutional Review Board
  • Provide ongoing feedback concerning project implementation
  • Read and critique project reports
  • Provide guidance on dissemination outlets
  • Assist with the publication submission process

While the mentor will not be directly involved with the specific implementation, analysis or communication of the project, mentors will provide the necessary support to allow faculty to pursue scholarly endeavors.

Faculty interested in participating in the Research Mentoring Program should email the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at cetl@park.edu for more information.
