HIS102 - Western Civilization: The Reformation to 1918

This course surveys developments in Western Europe’s political, cultural, social and intellectual history from the European Reformation to World War I. The survey investigates inter alia the rise of the modern state, the development and importance of technology, changing patterns of urbanization, international relations, warfare, and social transformations.
