Financial Aid Checklist for Students Transferring to Park
To Transfer Financial Aid Eligibility from Another School to Park:
- You must apply for admission to
Park University before aid can be processed. You must be fully admitted to Park
for any financial aid to be released.
- RFA (Request for Financial Aid) -
Immediately complete a Park Request for Financial Aid. If additional documents
are required, you will be notified. *
- SAR (Student Aid Report) - You must provide us with a copy of your
Student Aid Report mailed to you by the Department of Education. Or, if you
already listed Park as one of the institutions you will be attending this school
year, Park can obtain a copy electronically. A request for a duplicate SAR can
be made by calling the Federal Student Aid Programs at 1-800-4FEDAID. You can
also request that Park be added to your SAR, by giving them our school code (The
Park University code is 002498). Also, if you provide SFS with your SSN, DRN
and most current transaction # from your SAR, we can electronically add Park to
your SAR.
- If you have not already applied for federal financial aid, you must complete
the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA). The paper FAFSA can be returned to the Park SFS office for
processing, or it may be completed directly on-line with the Department of
Education.* Remember to use our School Code when completing the form (The Park
University code is 002498).
- Student Loan Recipients - If you received a Federal Stafford, Direct,
Parent or Perkins Student Loan in the previous semester and are transferring to
Park, you should contact the lending institution to CANCEL any subsequent loan
disbursement at your previous school. You must REAPPLY for the loan(s) at Park.
- Missouri Higher Education Academic Scholarship Program - An applicant may
change his or her approved institution choice prior to the beginning of the
first day of classes and may transfer between approved institutions during the
academic year. The deadline for such actions is August 1 for the fall semester
and January 1 for the winter or spring semester. Failure to notify the
Coordinating Board by the dates of such action may result in loss of the award.
- If you have already received a grant from the Charles Gallagher Student
Financial Assistance Program (Formerly Missouri Grant Program) at another
Missouri institution during the previous academic year or the fall semester and
you are transferring for the spring semester, you must notify Student Financial
Services at Park. You must also inform the Charles Gallagher Student Financial
Assistance Program in writing that you are transferring to Park.
- Aid Award - You will be informed by Park of your Financial Aid Award in
the form of an Award Letter. Please comply with all instructions accompanying
this letter.
- If you have been admitted with a low grade point average or are on 'academic
probation', you may not be in compliance with Park's Academic Progress
Policy and may not be entitled to financial aid. Please contact the Student
Financial Services Office for additional information.
