Sherry Fontaine is an Associate Professor at Park University. Prior to joining Park University, Dr. Fontaine was Director of Doctoral Programs in Health Policy, Health Education, and Educational Leadership at D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY. She also served as a faculty member in graduate health management and policy programs at University of Memphis and University of South Carolina. Dr. Fontaine has served on several nonprofit boards for health and community development organizations, and as a consultant for health and nonprofit organizations in the areas of strategic planning, marketing, executive development programs, and program evaluation. Her research on health and nonprofit management and policy has been published in Health Marketing Quarterly, Journal of Health Care Marketing ,Health Care Strategic Management, Journal for Volunteer Administration, Ethics in Nonprofit Management, Cross-National Issues in Public Administration, and the Journal of Public Affairs Education, Journal of Higher Education and Outreach, and Academic Exchange Extra.


Dr. Sukhen Dey Sukhen Dey, Ph.D.

Dr. Sukhen Dey serves as Associate Professor of Computer Science & Informatics and the Chair of the Department at Indiana University Southeast in New Albany, Indiana. He has extensive experience in systems analysis and design, database development, customer and employee survey analysis, statistical analysis and continuous quality measurement systems. He has consulted for various healthcare and other organizations. He has published numerous articles in his areas of expertise and presented at several national and international conferences. He founded Deyta, LLC and Nalanda Solutions, LLC. Both organizations are actively involved in research and analytical systems.

Dr. William Cady William Cady, Pharm.D.

Bill Cady completed his BS degree in Pharmacy at the University of Nebraska and his Doctor of Pharmacy and Residency and the University of Kentucky. He is currently the President of Quality Research Services in Lenexa, Kansas. Dr. Cady has also held leadership positions at Marion Merrell Dow, Inc. as a Clinical Research Manager, Senior Clinical Research Scientist and Senior Product Team Leader. He has held the position of Pharmacy Review Officer for the Food and Drug Administration, Bureau of Drugs and New Drug Evaluation in Rockville, Maryland. In addition to his clinical pharmacy and research activities, Dr. Cady has been an Associate Professor for the College of Pharmacy at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He has authored numerous publications in clinical pharmacology.

Mahnaz Shabbir Mahnaz Shabbir, M.B.A.

Mahnaz has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Missouri- Kansas City. She is currently President of Shabbir Advisors, an integrated strategic management consulting company focusing on planning, marketing, public relations, diversity transformation and website design. In March 2005, Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius appointed Mahnaz to the REACH Health Care Foundation, a $100 million foundation. Prior to forming her own company, Mahnaz was the Vice President for Strategic Planning and Business Development at Carondelet Health, a Catholic health care system in Kansas City. She had been with the organization for over 18 years. In this capacity, Mahnaz planned $40 million projects liked the four story medical mall at Saint Joseph Health Center. She was also responsible for developing an employer-driven health promotion program to assist businesses in reducing their health care costs by encouraging health promotion for their employees. She has served as a Diplomat for the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) since 1984.

Dr. Chad Moretz Chad Moretz, Sc.D.

Chad Moretz received his Doctor of Science degree in Healthcare Management and Research from Tulane University in 2004. He has ten years of healthcare experience ranging from clinical, management, and research in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation. After finishing his doctoral degree he accepted a position as a statistician for Rutherford Hospital, Inc. where he conducted a wide range of parametric and non-parametric analyses in a wide range of areas. His research publications are centered around outcomes research in cardiac and pulmonary patients. He is also an adjunct faculty for South University as well as consulting with other companies in healthcare research and education.


Captain Jose Hernandez Belardo III,  J.D., MHA , MSW

 

Captain Belardo is a Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Public Health service. He received his Juris Doctor from University of Baltimore with a specialization in Health Care Law. He also received his Master of Science in Health Care Administration from University of Maryland. Capt. Belardo is the Deputy regional Health Administrator, Office of the Secretary, office of Public Health and Science, Office of the Regional Health Administrator, Kansas City. He has received numerous Public Health Service Corps Honors which include:  Commendation medal for his contributions in the administration of the Healthy Tomorrows Partnership for Children Program, Outstanding Unit Citation for the creation of a national campaign to increase awareness of stroke prevention among minority population. Capt. Belardo also received awards for his service in the U.S. Army for his activities in Somalia, as a Medical Detachment company Commander at Fort Sill, OK.

 

 

Gary Crum, Ph.D., MPH. MS, MA

 

Dr. Crum received his Ph.D. and MS in Entomology from University of Kentucky, his Master of Public Health degree in Health Administration from Columbia University, and his MA in philosophy and social policy from George Washington University where his emphases were in moral philosophy and health policy. He is currently the Executive Director of the Southwest Virginia Graduate Medical Education Consortium. His extensive experience in community and public health also includes serving as District Director of Health for the Northern Kentucky Independent District Health Department, Health commissioner for the Jackson County Health Department and Assistant Deputy Director for the Office of Medicaid and the Deputy Director for Policy for the Ohio Department of Health. Dr. Crum has also been a faculty member in the department of Health Management and Policy at George Washington University.

 

William M. Dwyer, MBA

 

William Dwyer received his Master of Management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University with concentrations in marketing and health systems management. Mr. Dwyer is a nationally recognized speaker on healthcare management and policy issues. He serves a Healthcare Strategist for a wide-range of healthcare organizations and as an executive advisor for Cerner Corporation, where he also served as a Senior Vice President. He also held the position of Divisional Vice-President, Strategic Marketing for Abbott Laboratories, Abbott Health Systems Division. Mr. Dwyer is a Board member of Banner Health System, national Center for Healthcare Leadership. He has also as served on the National Quality Forum, National Quality Healthcare Advisory Committee, and as a board member for the National Alliance for Health Information technology, Health Research and Educational Trust. He has been actively involved in healthcare management and graduate medical education programs as a preceptor, faculty associate and distinguished lecturer.

 

Virginia Edgerton Law, J.D.

 

Ms. Law received her JD from University of Connecticut Law School. She is also a Certified Consultant for Workplace Conflict. Ms. Law has taught courses in mediation and conflict negotiation at University of Rhode Island and the Roger Williams School of Law. She is an attorney-mediator and President of PeacePaths, A Center for Mediation and Education. She has developed youth programs merging nonviolence and conflict management training, literacy, and business skills which have been featured on public television and in print.  Ms. Law is also an Associated Consultant for MTI Consulting Group and a Certified Trainer for Mediation Training Institute International.

 

Jean Rumbaugh, MA

 

Ms. Rumbaugh received her MA in Health and Human Services Administration from St. Mary’s University. She is currently Director of Program Development for the University of Kansas Hospital.  Ms. Rumbaugh has served as president and CEO of FirstGuard Health Plan and the COO of Mid-America Health Partners. She has also held positions with the Independence Regional Health Center, Aetna Health Plans, and United Healthcare Corporation. Ms. Rumbaugh has over 20 years if health care experience in the areas of contracting, product development, financial accountability, operational management, and strategic planning.
