Computer Information SpecialistPark University has a position available for a Computer Information Specialist in the Student Financial Services at the Parkville campus. The Computer Information Specialist must have extensive knowledge of computer programming, computer technology, system analysis and design. This person coordinates installation of new hardware/software programs to meet department’s needs. Must possess the ability to define pertinent informational requirements and operational enhancements; in depth knowledge and experience in writing SQL programs. Knowledge of Jenzabar/CX preferred. BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Data & Systems Administrator/Analyst ProgrammerThe Information Technology Services Department at Park University has a new position available at our Parkville campus for a Data and Systems Administrator/Analyst Programmer. Under minimum supervision, perform the following primary database, application, system, and related duties in a Unix-based Client/Server environment with an Informix Database Engine running the Jenzabar-CX application: Installation of associated software and hardware, system and database analysis, program and application development, enhancements, queries, and maintenance. On a secondary level, have some interaction with Windows-based server environment, based on special programming/application requests submitted by the University wide departments and end users. Must provide technical assistance and detailed program documentation on the Student Information System to Supervisors and other interested parties. This person reports directly to the CIO. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field required. A Master’s Degree is desirable.

Requirements for this position are: High School diploma or equivalent, preferably 1-2 years experience in cleaning, good customer service, ability to lift 50 pounds, use a 10’ ladder, climbing of stairs and good customer service skills. The Administrative Assistant position, reporting to the Dean of the School for Education (SFE) on our Parkville Campus, requires a high level of proficiency with computer skills in appropriate technologies (Excel, Word, Access), including word processing, database, spreadsheets, webmaster experience, budget management, and an understanding of electronic portfolios. Excellent interpersonal skills required, including ability to provide service and support to students, faculty, staff, internal, and external stakeholders in an effective and efficient manner. Must be detail-oriented, able multi-task, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be able to provide strong administrative support to the Dean of the School for Education; will need to use strong computer skills (word processing, database, spreadsheets, and webmaster experience); will process travel requests, invoices, and procurement logs; serve as Foliotek Manager and Webmaster for SFE website; coordinate storage and organization of unit communication; and perform other duties, which may be assigned. Associate Degree required; 2-3 years of executive office management experience preferred; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Director of NursingPark University's has a new position available for a Director of Nursing located at the Parkville Campus. Park University is seeking a full-time faculty member to head its Ellen Finley Earhart Program of Nursing. Teaching duties involve teaching LPNs in an A.D.N. program. In addition to administering the program, the successful candidate's duties will include classroom and/or clinical instruction for summer Transition Course, Adult Health Nursing/Physical Assessment, and Mental Health Nursing. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop the program into a full BSN with probable online components, The candidate must have Missouri RN license and a Master's degree in Nursing by the time of appointment, which is August, 2009. The Doctorate is preferred. Rank is negotiable.
