Park University offers an Associate Degree in Nursing in which qualified Licensed Practical Nurses can purse their professional goal to become Registered Nurses.

The application season is January 1st thru April 30th.

The Nursing Program is limited to a maximum of 40 students.

Applicants accepted for admission will be notified on or around June 1.

The Nursing Program's application season is January 1 through April 30. During this time, application for admission, applicaton fees, scheduling of the nursing entrance exam, and entrance exam fees are accepted.

The nursing program is limited to a maximum of 40 students. To accept those with the greatest promise for completion of the program, applicants will be ranked from high to low on the basis of the total score earned on the nursing entrance exam. Qualified applicants must also have a complete file with transcripts, reference forms, and LPN license or eligibility. Failure to submit all required documents by the required deadlines will eliminate applicant from selection.

Applicants accepted for admission will be notified on or around June 1.

 

Admissions Criteria for First Time Applicants

  • Applicants must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Missouri, or currently enrolled in a PN program with graduation date prior to the next starting date of the program.
  • Applicants are required to take the Nursing Program's entrance exam.
  • Applicants are required to submit by May 15:
    1. Official academic transcript from high school (or GED), practical nursing school, colleges, or other post-secondary schools attended.
    2. Three reference forms, one each from the director of the practical nursing school attended, one instructor or work supervisor, and one from a co-worker or friend.
    3. Copy of current Missouri LPN license or proof of eligibility for the NCLEX-PN.

Admissions Criteria for Re-Applicants

  • Applicants must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Missouri.
  • Applicants are required to take the Nursing Program's entrance exam.
  • Applicants must submit a written request to the Nursing Program for their File to be Opened and Reviewed for an additional charge of $15.00.

Former students who did not complete the program will be readmitted only if approved by a vote of the nursing faculty.
