Early Action
A select group of Park University first year students have the opportunity to participate in leadership and service experiences prior to the beginning of the academic year. Student’s participants beat the crowds and move into the residence halls a day early. Participants gain valuable service and leadership opportunities, which facilitate the development of excellence on and off the Park University Campus. Interested candidates should complete the application form by July 13, 2012.
2012 Early Action Schedule
Thursday, August 16th
9:00am –11:30am Move-in to Residence Halls
11:30am – 12:45pm Early Action Lunch (Students Only, McCoy Meetin’ House)
11:30am – 1:00pm Parent Orientation (Copley Quad, Conference Room, light refreshments provided)
1:00pm – 4:30pm Free time for parents (Parkville Adventure)
1:15pm – 4:00pm Team Building at Heartland Center for students*
5:00pm – 6:30pm Presidential Welcome Dinner (1st floor Thompson Student Center)
8:00pm – 10:00pm Leadership Social (Powerplay)
Friday, August 17th
8:15am – 8:30am Load Bus for Service Trip (Julian Field Parking Lot, Breakfast Provided)
9:00am – 12:00pm Service Project (Hillcrest Transitional Housing)
12:00pm – 2:00pm Reflection Lunch
2:30pm – Transition to New Student Orientation Schedule
*Participants must complete the liability release form to participate in Heartland Activities. A Guardian signature is required for applicants under 18.
Accepted applicants will receive a more detailed schedule.
