On Saturday, November 1, 2014, the Park University programming team of Johnathan Cox and Ilgorbek Kuchkarov took 3rd place at the University of Missouri Kansas City as part of the 2014 ACM Mid Central Programming Contest. Johnathan and Ilgor solved 3 of the 9 posed problems during the 5 hour contest.
This is the second contest in which the team has received recognition. Last spring, along with Nadeja Buscan, the team won the CCSC programming contest, topping 29 other teams.
The ACM Mid Central contest is open to college students from universities across Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee. This year, the winning team from Northwestern University in Chicago will participate in the International Collegiate Programming Contest World Finals in Rabat, Morocco.
