Alumni Career Corner

A new online feature designed to assist Park Alumni looking for advice to improve their professional careers is now available.  Each month a new column(s) written by Park alumni who are experts in their fields will be posted in the Alumni Career Corner. Our first columnist is Rick Gillis, '86, an expert on employment and job search. Read his advice to improve your job search success.
 

Sell Out at the Great Wolf Lodge

More than 200 alumni and family members attended the Great Wolf Lodge Weekend in Kansas City, KS. With a special Park discount, cookies and milk at bedtime and a whole weekend of water park fun, this annual event has become an alumni favorite. The dates for the 2012 weekend is Feb. 3 - 5, 2012.

 

Save the date for Men's Basketball!

As the season progresses Pirate fans are cheering Park's men's basketball team to victory. Soon the NAIA will announce the teams who will play in its championship tournament. Save the dates of March 16 and 17 and watch for the announcement that Park is in the tournament.  Plan to join fans for a pre-game reception and the game.

Alumni Council is seeking new members

Several positions on the Alumni Council are currently open. Membership committee chair, Susan Kensett McGaughey, '74, is accepting applications, nominations and questions about serving on the Alumni Council. 

If you are interested in serving your alma mater or would like to nominate an alumnus/a to fill one of these positions go to the Alumni Council information page.

 

Windows of Opportunity 

Park needs your help. The windows in Carnegie Library/Norrington Hall need to be replaced. Read about the history of this treasured building and learn how you can help preserve it.

 

Alumni Recruiters Wanted

If you are a high school teacher, coach or counselor we will send you a Park pennant to put in your classroom/office and a t-shirt to wear on casual days. Materials explaining the various degree programs will also be included. We ask that you distribute the information to appropriate prospective students, including colleagues that may have interest in our online masters programs.  Send your name, address, t-shirt size and school to alumnioffice@park.edu
