An excerpt from the July/August 2011 column: I admit it. I’m guilty of counseling job seekers to ‘dumb down’ their resumes if they are getting zero response from their efforts. I recently received an email from a job seeker (a scientist with 38 patents or so and a dozen or more pending approval this year!) who was complaining to me about “PhD Discrimination.”
