Meet the Committee members. Park's Core Assessment InnovationRecognizing Park's unique multi-campus structure and the associated challenges of ensuring that our students on every campus center receives a comparable education in a given program or course, the Office of Academic Affairs has mandated that every course have a Core Assessment. So What Is A Core Assessment?Beginning with the Fall 2006 semester, a Core Assessment (CA) is a required syllabus component for all courses of instructional delivery in the Park University system. Core Assessments are designed to address at least three-fourths (75%) of the Core Learning Outcomes (CLOs) for the course as well as activities associated with the ability to think critically and communicate effectively. The Core Assessment must be worth a minimum of 20% of the final course grade and must be assessed using the Core Assessment Rubric (CAR). Looking for the Core Learning Outcomes, Core Assessment, and Core Assessment Rubric for a specific course?Go to Core Learning Outcomes to determine the status of a course's CLOs, CA, and CAR data. While most classes have CLOs, the Core Assessments and Core Assessment Rubrics are being updated as they are submitted. Go to the Syllabus for information on specific course syllabi by Campus Location. --------------------------------- University Resources |
