Mandatory coverage can only be waived as follows during the first eight days of the term:

  • Wavier must be on file in the Student Assistance Center currently located in Norrington.

Single rooms are available in limited numbers. Priority is given to upper-classmen. An additional charge is required at confirmation each semester for Chesnut singles. See Room and Board Rates.

How do I get connected?

If you want to be connected, it is your responsibility to have your computer prepared. The room will have two RJ-45 data ports. In order to connect your computer you will need:

  • an operating system that supports networking
  • current virus scan software installed and activated on your computer
  • a 10Base-T network card installed
  • a category five network cable of sufficient length to reach from your computer to the outlet (You may want to wait to purchase the cable until you know where you are going to place the computer in the room).

Upon arrival to campus, you will be asked to sign an acceptable use policy. You will also be asked to provide computer identification numbers for security and acceptable use purposes. Within one week of completing the form and providing the information, your port will be activated.

We are working to take care of issues before they arise, but ask for your patience as we work through this new service to you.

Email

Every student is encouraged to have a campus e-mail account. E-mail is a quick, easy, inexpensive way to communicate with friends and family. It is also used in many classes by the faculty. The Information Technology Services office can get you hooked up with an email account.
