Network with fellow Park students and area employers as well as students from Benedictine College, Missouri Western State University and William Jewell College. You will also learn proper dinner etiquette from an expert in the field while dining on a gourmet meal.
Registration for students is $20 per person and is open to the first 20 students who register from Park University. Contact the Career Development Center on the Parkville Campus in Mabee 406 and speak with Susan Michaud. Deadline for registration is September 15th. The fee covers a portion of your cost for the dinner and is due at the time of registration. The remainder of the cost will be covered by the Career Development Center. The fee is non-refundable! AAF-KANSAS CITY CAREER DAY, Formerly AD CLUB CAREER DAYMonday, November 2nd, 2009 Uptown Theatre - 3700 Broadway, Kansas City, MO Career Day registration will begin at 8 am with the opening general session beginning at 9 am. Brian Brooker, Chief Creative Officer/Chief Executive Officer at Barkley, will be the keynote luncheon speaker. When all of the breakout sessions conclude around 3:45 pm, there will be an optional portfolio review open for students to have their books reviewed by creative professionals. The planning committee is working on adding an optional enhancement session at the end of the day for students not participating in the portfolio.

Shadow Day is a two-part day that helps college students gain exposure to the nonprofit sector and make contacts with nonprofit professionals.
* Part One - Breakfast and panel discussion (7:45 - 9:45 a.m.) A panel made up of nonprofit sector professionals will discuss their careers and the work they are doing now. This is a great opportunity to learn about different jobs that are available in the nonprofit sector. * Part Two - Shadow a nonprofit professional "on the job" (10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) See what a work day in the nonprofit sector is like by spending it with a nonprofit professional. This experience also offers a great opportunity to make networking connections with professionals working in the Kansas City area.
Shadow Day is open to any college student who would like to learn more about working in the the nonprofit sector. There is no fee to participate.
