The Presidential Leadership Program for Women Faculty, facilitated by the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, provides a venue for women faculty to define and pursue leadership excellence in their academic careers.

Goals:

  1. Define leadership excellence for your academic career.
  2. Identify barriers to leadership excellence and resources to overcome those barriers.
  3. Recommend institutional changes to promote the status of women faculty at Park University.

2008 Legacy Project

In addition to facilitating understanding and pursuit of leadership excellence, the Presidential eadership Program for Women Faculty seeks to tap expertise in shaping Park University for all women.

On March 31, 2008 Park University Celebrated Women's History Month with guest speaker Doris Howell, M.D.  Dr. Howell is a Park graduate of the class of 1944 and spoke to the community on different types of leadership, specifically what it takes to become a leader.  Dr. Howell is an internationally recognized expert in pediatrics and hospice care and was honored by Park University and its Presidential Leadership Program for Women Faculty as a "distinguished alumna" for inspiring women to define and pursue leadership excellence.
