Residence Life On-Call Duty Schedule

There are multiple people on call in the residence halls for emergency response, policy enforcement, and general student service. Typically, there are two Resident Assistants on call (one for Copley Quad and one for Chesnut Hall) each weekday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 am the next morning. During business hours student concerns should be directed to the respective office in either Copley Quad or Chesnut Hall. During the weekend (Friday at 5:00 pm to Sunday at 5:00 pm) two Resident Assistants will be on call from 5:00 pm to 5:00 pm each day. There is also a Senior Staff member on call 24 hours a day all year. Please review the following positions for a more comprehensive understanding of who will be responding to a particular situation.

Resident Assistant (RA) - Student Staff members on duty each night and over the weekend. Each building has a separate phone number for the RA on Duty which will be posted next to the main entrance or the front desk. RAs should be contacted to confront policy violations including suspicion of drugs and alcohol, noise violations, and other community disturbances. The RAs on call will always be within the building (or between buildings in the case of Chesnut and Dearing) while on duty with the allowance of going to meals on campus at Thompson Commons.

Senior Staff - The Office of Residence Life Staff is composed of two full-time professional staff members and two Graduate Assistants. For consistency and ease of contact, the senior staff member on call rotates every week, starting on Monday at 11:00 am. In the event of serious injury, emergency medical response, police involvement, major policy violations, or afterhours roommate conflicts, the Resident Assistant will call the Senior Staff member on call. The Senior Staff member will always be within fifteen minutes of campus while on duty. The Senior Staff is composed of:
