EDC373 - PreK Practicum

Course Description: EDC373 PreK Practicum: A supervised field experience in a PreK-primary setting that supports the integration of teacher knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary for working with young children, 3-5 years of age and their families. The student is required to be in the Pre-primary setting 72 hours during the semester and is scheduled with practicum instructor. The student must be concurrently enrolled in EDC363 or EDC363A & B. They must earn a grade of "B" in the practicum to continue in the program.Candidates seeking a degree in Early Childhood Education and Leadership shall take EDC 373 for a minimum of one credit hour. Candidates seeking a degree in Early Childhood Education Teaching Young Children or Early Childhood Education Certification shall take EDC 373 for two credit hours. Prerequisite: Admission to the School for Education. Variable credit 1-2 hours
