Liberal Education Committee

The Liberal Education (LE) Committee of the Faculty Senate is a faculty-elected committee charged with the review and approval of courses for the University's general education program. The LE Committee works in concert with the University Curriculum Committee and the University Assessment Committee per the process outlined below:

Motions approved by the committee are forwarded to the Provost for final approval.

• LS 300 Course Approval Form

In order to prepare catalog copy for the new LE Program, the Committee requests that applications be received no later than one week prior to the Committee's November 2009 meeting. Please keep in mind that for new courses, or courses requiring catalog changes, proposals must first pass through the Curriculum Committee no later than its October 2009 meeting.
