About the Downtown Council of Kansas CityThe Downtown Council of Kansas City is a private nonprofit membership organization representing more than 260 of Kansas City’s best businesses and property owners, as well as entrepreneurial companies and nonprofit organizations. The Council’s members work together to create a vibrant, diverse and economically sustainable Downtown Kansas City. Downtown is the arts and cultural center of our metropolitan area, a model of sustainable development, a residential neighborhood, an energetic work place and a setting for education and entrepreneurial endeavors. It is interesting, vibrant, diverse, synergistic, accessible, walkable and livable—a center of productivity, creativity and accomplishment! Park University is proud to be a member of the Downtown Council and to recognize the organization's success in enhancing the remarkable heart of the metropolitan area we call home. Park UniversityThe commitment to provide access to higher education is the cornerstone at Park University. Classes offered at times, locations and through multiple delivery modalities that are convenient to learners, making advanced study possible for Park's diverse student body. Students, faculty and staff are immersed in a culture of service learning and civic engagement, and more than 58,000 graduates translate their Park experiences into visions that transform workplaces and communities. Presidential Honors ScholarshipPark was founded on the belief that all students who possess academic ability should have access to a quality education. Nearly half of Park's students represent demographic groups typically underrepresented in university halls because of financial limitations. The Presidential Honors Scholarship Endowment, when fully funded, will provide scholarships annually for 20 academically talented students who do not have the financial means to achieve their educational dreams and goals. --------------------------------- University Resources |
