Gamma Theta Upsilon - The International Geographic Honor Society:

On April 13, 2011, the Geography Program of Park University officially established the Mu Theta chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon (GTU). We are proud to offer our congratulations to the 14 inaugural members of our chapter on their initiation into this long-standing and prestigious academic organization. Through hard work and dedication, they have either met or exceeded the criteria necessary to be granted membership into GTU. Initiates must have completed a minimum of 3 Geography courses, have a GPA of at least 3.3 overall and in Geography, and have completed at least 3 semesters (or 5 quarters) of college course work. All members of Gamma Theta Upsilon share a background and interest in Geography; each chapter strongly supports Geography knowledge and awareness, through meetings and various activities throughout the year.
