Why should you give?

Every gift makes a difference, no matter the size. Your participation is a key element of Park University's success. Gifts to Park University are an important resource for the establishment and implementation of new programs, professorship or chairs, and physical improvements to our many campuses.

One of our goals this year is for everyone in the Park family to be involved with this effort. The best reason to give to Park First is that your gift will benefit our Park University students by enhancing their academic experience.

Support from faculty and staff is crucial as we move forward. Other funders, such as foundations and corporations, look at our employee participation rates as a key indicator when determining whether to allocate their funds to Park or not. In other words, if our "family" doesn't support Park University, why should they?

Q: What is the Park First Faculty & Staff Giving Campaign?
A: This is a specialized fundraising program just for the faculty and staff of Park University. The Park First Faculty & Staff Giving Campaign provides an opportunity for Park University employees to make annual gifts to their favorite initiatives or departments on campus.

Q: I already work here, so why should I give?
A: As the people who work at Park University on a daily basis, we know the needs of the University and are aware of areas that are in need of financial support. In many cases, we are aware of needs that are not obvious to the external community.

Q: Can I specify where my contribution goes?
A: Yes, the choice is yours. The gift form includes a line where you may write in the name of the school, department or program to which you designate your gifts.

Q: How much should I give?
A: No gift is too small-all gifts count and all gifts make a difference. The specific focus of this effort is to increase the number and percentage of Park University faculty and staff who give to the University.

Q: What are my payment options?
A: There are three ways to make a contribution:

• Fill out the gift form you received in your letter for payroll deduction to have a portion of your gift automatically deducted from each paycheck.
  
• Send a personal check payable to Park University and send through campus mail to the Office of University Advancement, Box 65.
• Charge your gift to your credit card. This option is available on the gift form or at our secure Online gift web site.

Q: What if I didn't receive a gift form or I lost it?
