Alternative Fall Break 2015 - Costa Rica

This program includes:
  • Five days of volunteering focusing on youth, school improvement and the environment. Possible projects include but are not limited to: exterior design and external structures of elementary schools, light construction projects, tree planting, developing recycling centers and various environmental awareness workshops.
  • Extreme forest park visit with zip lining, Tarzan swing, monkey bridge
  • Overnight excursion to the beach
  • Tour of a coffee plantation
 
Only ten spots are available! Applications being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10:00 a.m. on August 1, 2015. Get in before it’s full!

Dates: October 10-18, 2015

Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis only!

Program fee: $1,850  (pending final arrangements)
Includes airfare, host family housing, all meals in Costa Rica, all cultural activities, all local transportation. Does not include meals in airports, airport exit tax and spending money

Park’s Office of Global Education and Study Abroad and Office of Student Life will assist you in applying for grants and in fundraising for the program. Most students on the alternative breaks abroad programs raise between $400-$800 towards the cost of their programs with our help – some have raised more!
