Join Park University students from around the country in this intensive, exciting, fun week of volunteering and cultural immersion.

Travel dates: October 11-19, 2014

Program cost (pending final arrangements): $500, including transportation meals, lodging and activities.

This program includes:

  • Three days of volunteering. Projects may include reforestation on sites of former coal mines, weatherization of low income homes or other projects
  • Experiencing the unusual and fascinating culture of the people of the Appalachian Mountains, the oldest mountains in the United States
  • Learning about coal mining and its effect on the mountains and sustainable development
  • Hiking
  • Sightseeing
  • And much more!
