Graduate Certificate in Business and Government Leadership

Available Online or On Campus in the Kansas City Area

Approved beginning Fall 2010, Hauptmann School for Public Affairs

The Business and Government Leadership Certificate is designed for the those who wish to improve their ability to navigate and lead across the business and government sectors of society.  This certificate advances the skills students need to lead and manage in the private and public sectors.

Courses in this certificate are drawn from the Master of Public Affairs degree area of Economic and Global Strategy.

Admissions Requirements

  • Online Application
  • A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university or its foreign equivalent, with a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average
  • Applicants with a cumulative grade point average below 3.0 will be reviewed on an individual basis.

*Certificate students are not automatically eligible for admission to the related Master's degree program. If they wish to pursue a Master's degree, they must submit an application meeting all the entrance requirements for that program.

Program Completion Requirements

  • Completion of required coursework with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • An Application for Graduation is required before a completion statement is posted to the transcript. Students must return the completed form with the appropriate fee.
