The Master of Public Affairs degree with the Computer and Network Security concentration is intended for those who wish to specialize in the Information Technology (IT) field with an emphasis in security.
This emphasis is designed for those who wish to pursue a career in an IT security related field as a Systems Administrator, Security Analyst, IT Consultant, Security Consultant, or IT Specialist.
This concentration is also available as part of the Master's in Business Administration (MBA) degree at Park University.
Students who complete this emphasis will be prepared to:
- Discuss security technology solutions including their advantages and disadvantages specific to security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Examine the human factor and user experience issues associated with security technology solutions.
- Assess the security impacts of regulatory policy, legislation, and market on an organization or company.
- Design, deploy, and manage software and network systems of an Information Security Architecture (ISA).
Prerequisite: IS 603* or comparable course (Park CS365 Computer Networking) or relevant work experience.
