The Park University May 2008 Commencement Ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 10, at 11 a.m., at the Community of Christ Auditorium, 1001 W. Walnut, in Independence, Mo. Please note that the ceremony usually lasts about two hours. In addition, there are no restrictions as to the number of guests graduates may invite.

More than 400 students plan to receive their undergraduate degrees and an estimated 100 students are expected to receive graduate degrees. U.S. Sen. Christopher S. "Kit" Bond of Missouri will be the featured speaker at the commencement ceremony Bond, who served as Missouri assistant attorney general and state auditor before two terms as Missouri governor, is in his fourth Senate term. At age 33 in 1973, Bond became the youngest governor to be elected in Missouri. He currently serves as the vice chairman on the Senate Select Intelligence Committee.
