Student Health Services

A Nurse Practitioner is available on campus to see students on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters. This service is free to all Park University students, and is available in Dearing Hall. The Nurse Practitioner is equipped to handle most routine medical concerns and can write prescriptions as needed. If lab work, x-rays, or other medical tests are needed, then the student is responsible for those costs.

Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 12:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.

To schedule an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner, you can send an email  to studenthealth@park.edu.  Request a time on Monday, Thursday, or Friday between noon and 4:00 p.m.  An email confirming the appointment will be sent to you.  You can also call (816) 584-6513 or (816) 584-6848 to schedule or confirm your appointment.

If a student needs medical assistance on another day of the week, he or she can call Parkville Family Practice (driving directions) at (816)587-0440 to schedule an appointment. For people who have paid for the student insurance available to Park University students, the cost of the appointment at Parkville Family Practice is covered by the insurance. However, those students are required to take their insurance cards (available from Enrollment Services/Student Assistance Center in Norrington) and their Park ID Card with them to Parkville Family Practice. Students without student insurance are responsible for providing personal insurance information and/or covering the costs on their own.

Students may also call the Nurse-Line at St. Luke's Northland Hospital at 816-932-6220 for free nurse advice and physician referral 24 hours a day.

Get physical! Come and participate in the free wellness classes offered by the Park University Counseling Center every semester.  Yoga, tai chi, and pilates are offered in the fall and spring.
