HN400 ORAL PROJECT PRACTICE SPRING 2009
HN400 scholars will meet with the Honors and Scholarship Committee in the Louise Morden Board Room on Friday March 20, 11AM – noon. Scholars should arrive a few minutes before 11AM, and remind mentors to attend.
Scholars should keep in mind that the committee wants to hear the oral presentation exactly as it will be delivered in public, with visual aids. It should last no longer than 15 minutes. Committee members will comment following each presentation with suggestions and, no doubt, many compliments.
Scholars please inform the committee where you will present your final public presentation. Keep in mind that public presentation is a requirement for completion in good standing of the Program. The presentation must be in a public venue before a number of individuals. The annual Student Research and Creative Arts Symposium and the Great Plains Honors Council Conference, both in the spring, are options that most scholars select.
Also indicated on the calendar, by April 27 each HN400 scholar will present a printed copy of the written portion of the project to the Director in Copley 210 and a copy to the mentor. Upon presentation of the final research project draft, students will receive the Park University Degree with Honors Program medal to wear during graduation.
The committee members look forward to celebrating this excellent achievement with each worthy scholar!
