Dipendra Shresttha
Hometown: Hetauda
Dipendra describes his hometown:
I
am from the Himalayan world, place of Buddha, land of Mount Everest. I am from a
well known city called Hetauda, in the headquarters of Makawanpur district. It
is so nice and clean. It is a small city surrounded by panoramic mountains.
There are many rivers in the edge of our city. There is also a Martyrs park,
known as “Sahid Smarak”, where people from our city and other places visits
mostly on weekends for picnics and to see animals because there is a zoo inside
it. I have been to the place a lot and it had been a great time of entertainment
for me, which I would remember all the time.
Beside these things, there are many temples where people go to worship Gods and
Goddesses as we have thirty three hundred million of Gods and Goddesses. There
is a temple which is famously known as “Manakamana Temple” situated on top of
the mountain, where everybody goes to make wishes as it as we believe that
wishes are fulfilled by the Manakamana Goddesses and it is about an hour walk
from my home.
We also have a beautiful downtown, which is similar to most of the malls here in
Kansas City and the Ashok trees make downtown more beautiful. It is so nice and
beautiful that whoever visits there once wants to go back again.
