Maria Protodyakonova
Born: Izhevsk

She describes her community:

I was born and raised in Izhevsk. Izhevsk is one of the poorest communities in Russia, where the majority earn about $300-400 per month. My community is a very busy community where people are always working hard to make a living for their families.
The infrastructure is like any other city, the houses are mostly two to three room apartments. Our community is the industrial region where there are lots of factory buildings. The majority of our population are factory workers.

Looking at my community social life style, people are living the city life where everyone minds their own business. You only speak and greet people that you know, you do not communicate with your neighbors or community members.  As the majority does not own cars, we have a good public transport system. The public transport system consists of trolley buses, train, and taxes.

However my community is well known because of the legend Kalachnikovo, who is famous for inventing the Kalachnikov machine guns. He used to make these weapons during  World War 2. Because of the work my community and the entire country honored his good work by building his museum and a vodka named after him as my country is well known of making the best vodka in the whole world.

We also have the Izhevsk River, where people go out to and have picnics and fish. We also have big community parks. We also have a number of theaters were people go and watch movies and performances.
