Tatiana Tessman

Tatiana TessmanPianist Tatiana Tessman has performed as a soloist with orchestras and in recitals across Russia, Germany, Italy, Latin America and the United States. She has appeared as a soloist with the Bavarian Radio Symphony orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony, Shreveport Symphony, Uruguay Philharmonic Symphony, Panama Philharmonic Symphony, Russian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, and many others. Ms. Tessman frequently collaborates with renowned Russian conductors Vladimir Ponkin, Alexander Skulsky, Murad Annamamedov, Mark Kadin and others.

Her artistry, virtuosity and versatile repertoire have attracted many of the sought after musicians in Russia and abroad. In 2003, after master classes with Mstislav Rostropovich Ms. Tessman was invited by maestro to take part in two concerts of the Symphony Orchestra of Bavarian Radio in prestigious festivals, such as "Klassik am Odeons platz" in Munich and "Summer Concerts" in Ingolstadt. Witnesses of her performance in the central square of Munich (Odeonplatz) numbered more then 7,000 people. Her much-acclaimed performance of the Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto led to an invitation to perform the same concerto on tour to Italy with the orchestra conducted by Mstislav Rostropovich, where Ms.Tessman had performed in the series of "La Scala presents."

Born in Omsk, Russia in 1979, Ms.Tessman began to play in public soon after her first piano lessons at the age of four. Soon she was entered to the Gnessins Music School in Moscow and studied with Prof. Tatiana Zaitzeva from 1985 to 1997. She was admitted to the Moscow State Conservatorie, where she studied under Prof. Valery Kastelsky and Prof. Sergei Dorensky, with whom she pursued her post-graduate studies as a recipient of the "Mstislav Rostropovich" foundation scholarship. Ms.Tessman began studying in 2005 with Stanislav Ioudenitch at Park University's International Center for Music in Parkville, Mo., where she is a full-scholarship student.

Since 2002, Ms.Tessman has won numerous competitions including the Glenn Gould International Piano Competition in Ostra, Italy (2002); the Panama International Piano Competition (second prize and Special Audience Prize, 2004); Santorini International Piano competition in Greece (2005); 55th Wideman International Piano Competition (2005); Missouri International Piano Competition (2006); and the 50th Cincinnati World Piano Competition (2006).

Ms. Tessman has performed in New York on WQXR Radio station and, as the recipient of Missouri International Piano competition she gave a solo recital at the Carnegie Weill Hall in 2006. In 2007, she made her recital concert debut at Alice Tully Hall.
