Jesse Henkensiefken
Jesse Henkensiefken performs regularly as a solo cellist and a chamber musician. He has appeared as a soloist with the University of Kansas Camarata as well as given numerous solo and chamber music recitals. Additionally, Mr. Henkensiefken is a 2006-2007 substitute cellist for the New World Symphony. He has studied cello at the University of Kansas with Edward Laut, earning a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance(2004), and a Master's of Music in Cello Performance(2006). Further, Mr. Henkensiefken has had extensive chamber music training with renown artists including: Stephen Harrison, Elizabeth Anderson, Robert Koenig, Peter Chun, and Ben Sayevich, as well as master classes with the Ying String Quartet, Kronos String Quartet, St. Petersburg String Quartet and Da Vinci String Quartet. In addition to his work as a concert cellist, Mr. Henkensiefken teaches privately in Southern Kansas City, Bonner Springs, and Lawrence Kansas. Currently, Mr. Henkensiefken is enrolled as a graduate music student at Park University, studying with Martin Storey.
