Massimiliano FraniDr. Massimiliano Frani

A native of Venice, Italy, Massimiliano Frani studied with Vincenzo Pertile, Paul Pollei and Jan Ekier. 

Hailed by critics for the depth and beauty of his interpretations, Massimiliano Frani has been a regular participant in numerous international music events. As soloists and chamber musician he performed in New York, Montreal, Frankfurt, Rome, Hamburg, Budapest, Tokyo and numerous other capitals of the world often collaborating with members of the Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society, the Utah Symphony, and the Budapest Chamber Orchestra.

His frequent concert engagements have been accompanied by radio and television recordings in the United States, Italy, Germany, France, Japan, Australia and Hungary. Strongly committed to music education, he has served as piano professor at Brigham Young University and has presented seminars and master classes at SUNY University (New York - USA), PTNA Master Classes (Japan), Vicenza Conservatory of Music (Italy), Hamburg and Frankfurt Hochschüle (Germany), Gina Bachauer International Piano Foundation (Utah – USA), Montreal Piano Teachers Convention (Canada), and the Franz Liszt Music Academy (Hungary).

Among his recording projects the discs for the Bachauer Recording Series (Chopin Polonaises), for Tantara Records (Rachmaninov Without Words) and the radio broadcast of the Chopin Etudes. 

Massimiliano Frani has served at the executive level of international cultural institutions including the Gina Bachauer International Piano Foundation (part of the World Federation of International Music Competitions-UNESCO, Switzerland).  He is currently Artistic Advisor of the International Piano Academy (Lake Como, Italy).

He lives in Venice, Italy.
